Medieval Frame Pouch Gallery Brass and bronze frames are found all over Europe. Many with the sea shell center piece that is somehow related with the pilgrimage of Santiago de Campostella as it is very similar to that pilgrim badge. However, not many of the framed pouches, purses, or bags survived. The frame is directly out of "Metal Detector finds" and the bag design comes from illuminations found showing this style of pouch. El Camino de Santiago" (Saint James Way) is the name given to the road the pilgrims followed in the middle age to get to Santiago de Compostella
This pouch is also pictured in photos from "The Medieval Soldier," by Embelton & Howe.
I can not promise or guarantee shades of color or patterns in the leather and texture. I will use the best material possible to maintain the look, hand, and color of each pouch shown. The pouch you receive may vary from the pouches shown! |
