with Scabbard
The Medieval Knife & Pricker is made of stainless steel and has matching handles of wood, bone or horn. This medieval knife is listed in the Museum of London "Knives and Scabbards" as a scabbard with additional sheath. It dates from 1250-1650. People used to carry their own cutlery and ate with a pricker, knife
and spoon before the wide use of the fork. The pricker was used to hold
the food down, the knife to cut it, and eaten using the spoon.
This is based on existing sets of knife and pricker, from all over
Europe. The knife measures a full 9 1/4 inches in length, 3/4 of an inch in width. The pricker 7 1/2 inches long. Both in the scabbard are 10 inches long. The tang is full or "scale". The Medieval Knife & Pricker is perfect for medieval, historical reenactments groups, 100 years war, and the SCA. Available with a scabbard for $44.
