Cavalier Style Boot

|
 |
|
The Cavalier boot is similar to the SCA style boot except that it is usually
above the knee in height and can be rolled down to below the knee. The Cavalier
boot represents boots worn from 1300's to the 1600's in western Europe by
wealthy Lords and Ladies and is an excellent
medieval or renaissance boot. The cavalier boot can also be
bucketed down to create a late period renaissance boot or pirate like
swashbuckler boot.
With your Cavalier boot, ankle laces or buckles give a much more
finished look. Garters are recommended as these boots are soft and tend to sag
around the ankle. Garters also provide a more kept look while holding the boot
up over the knee. A round or square toe generally looks best.
The Cavalier boot is constructed with 4.5 to 6 oz top grain
chromium tanned cow hide leather, artificial mid-soles, and crepe soles.
The Cavalier boot is a superb fighting boot, although steel toes are not an option. The heel is double thick
to give good ankle support and I recommend ankle laces or a buckle for the
Cavalier boot for fighting. Depending on your armor, you can strap armor
over the campaign boot and the leather never gets damaged. Cavalier boots
are most popular for Fencing. |
Cavalier style boots begin at $325.00 for both Lords and Ladies.
(See Options below)
Campaign Style Boot
|
Campaign Boots are the extra-tall version of the Cavalier Boot, usually waist high,
but not more than 32 inches tall.
The Campaign boot is a superb fighting
boot, although steel toes are not an option. The heel is double thick
to give good ankle support and I recommend ankle laces or a buckle for the
Campaign boot for fighting. Depending on your armor, you can strap
armor over the campaign boot and the leather never gets damaged.
Campaign Boots begin at $375.00 for both Ladies
and Lords; measurements will determine any additional charge due to materials needed.
Large men should expect a minimum cost of $400.00. (See options below) |

Mary Rose Shoe
Based
on shoes found in the Tudor era shipwreck, the Mary Rose, and on many
shoes pictured in "Stepping through Time," The Mary Rose shoe is
representative of men's shoes worn about 1530 to 1600 and is an
excellent choice for a Tudor or
renaissance shoe. The Mary Rose shoe
features a laced closure and a square toe as well as hard rubber heel.
The Mary Rose Shoe is constructed of 2.5 to 3 oz top-grain cowhide
leather,
leather laces, crepe sole, artificial mid-soles, hard rubber
heel, and all sewing is machine overstitched. This shoe is always in stock!
Available in Men's Sizes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and Women's sizes 5, 6, 7, 8,
