Some of our users are receiving email that pretends to come from secur@nmia.com. The subject of the email is " Mail server report." and the first paragraph states that our "firewall determined the e-mails containing worm copies are being sent from your computer." This IS A VIRUS. Do not open this email or its attachment. Just delete it.
Mail from NMIA will always come from help@nmia.com or accounts@nmia.com and will not include attachments. As always, it is unwise to open any email attachment unless you know the sender and are expecting an attachment from them. We STRONGLY recommend, as we always have, users run their own virus scanning software and be sure it is up to date.
Some of our users have received misleading email messages indicating that their email account will be closed or suspended. These messages also try to entice you to open an attachment to provide "more info." If you receive a message like this, do not open the attachment. It is very likely that it came from a third party. i.e. Not from NMIA and or from your computer. Some of our users have received misleading email messages indicating that they are infected with a virus or are late in payment. These messages also suggest that the account will be closed if action is not taken within 24 hours.
If you receive a message like this, it is very likely that it came from a third party. i.e. Not from NMIA and or from your computer. The third party is likely someone with whom you have had email contact at some time in the past.
